I’m referring to census records and how they id’d blacks. I have attached to the Family tree I created census records and it lists household members and there is a column which you find for race, you’ll see slave, black, freedmen, etc those who conducted the census at that time didn’t know how to classify. The site is free and contains public records.

That maybe true for some but the truth is they don’t know their history. Before Europeans ravaged our land, our ancestors built a vast cultural society across the Americas. I’ve traced my Family back to the early 1800’s and Trail of Tears. I have census records and other documents but at th Ed same time, for the Africans who were bought to this land, mixed with the indigenous and of course many are generational results. But the education system teaches that all blacks are from Africa but that is false. If I must, natives migrated to this land over 15k years ago from Siberia to Alaska via the Bering Land mass. This land has been visited by Africans and others prior to Columbus fake founding. The Moors were aware of the Natives and they accompanied and basically introduced Columbus to natives. My ancestors built mounds, cultivated the land etc. My Cherokee are apart of the Five Civilized tribes which existed in the Northern Eastern Band. IDK about the original poster but I know where I’m from. Again it’s sad that blacks have been programmed and their homeland taken away from them. Much respect 👊🏽

Amen… my family are Cherokee. My great grandmother ensured we knew who we are and of what was taken from us. When I researched my family history, I was able to go as far back as the early 1800’s. I saw they appeared in Edgecombe NC and further research showed that during the Trail of Tears, many Cherokee hid in the Smoky Mountains, I bet the spirits protected them cause the mountains are known to be haunted, but after many settled in Edgecombe. Afterwards, the census described my family as Indian, Slave, Negro, Black, African and Freedmen. Of course they mixed with those few Africans who came but like she said, her father, his father, his father were born here. It’s sad how the education system has programmed a false narrative into the minds of Black Americans.

The Clinton’s looked at a home up the street from me. It was a gated very secure gem and was right on Winged Foot Golf Course, yes I do have but it’s not about me!
