One significant legal, political & moral aspect of this order is it puts pressure on the states supplying arms to Israel and supporting it politically & financially to reconsider their position, as the Genocide Convention contains an obligation to “prevent” genocide as well.

Yet 75 years of occupation, massacres, apartheid, aggression, etc, neither shocked EU nor plunged the region into anything. It all started at least 75 years ago.
On 7 October, the horror of the terrorist attack by Hamas against Israel - with the massacre of 1,200 Israelis and the kidnapping of hundreds - shocked the world and plunged the region into a humanitarian and political tragedy.
