Dan Chadwick led the Idaho Association of Counties for 27 years, shepherding a diverse group of county officials in the Gem State through organizational growth and personal development before his retirement in 2018. He died April 23 at age 73.

The Idaho Association of Commissioners & Clerks (IACC) gathered in Moscow, ID, June 6-8 for their 2023 Annual Conference. The event brought county officials and leading organizations together from around the state for professional development & networking.

The Spring County Officials Institute wrapped with 4 trainings around the state. IAC Policy Staff provided Idaho's county officials with a review of the 2023 Legislative Session and a training on county budgeting and government finance best practices.

IAC's Legislative Committee held their first in-person meeting of 2023 in Boise. "We have a hardworking committee with clear legislative priorities," said Twin Falls County Commissioner Don Hall who chairs the Legislative Committee.

The Idaho Association of County Recorders and Clerks (IACRC) met at the Riverside Hotel in Boise this month. The conference had record attendance from Idaho's county elected officials and elections staff. Phil McGrane, Idaho Secretary of State, moderated a legislative discussion.
