The new Captain America movie will be outwardly called bad and an example of the MCU's decline. And it probably is not gonna lie. But I can't help but shake the feeling that a big reason that some people are gonna pan it is because they don't like a leading man that isn't white.

In a way, it’s like Hot Rod in TF 86. You can’t expect people to like a character that was designed to carry out a purpose we instinctively hate. He was replacing Optimus Prime. Paul is keeping MJ from Peter. Except Hot Rod became good. Paul? Doubt it.
