Yesterday in Porter County multiple agencies responded to a garage fire. Officers entered the smoke filled structure before fire trucks arrived and rescued 7 unconscious dogs. Officers administered oxygen and the dogs were revived. Great job by all!

Gibson: Trooper Lee stopped a 🚗 on SR57 for a violation & discovered the family was homeless. An 8 y/o boy that should have been in a booster seat due to his size didn’t have one. Tpr. Lee ended up giving the family his son’s booster seat that was in the trunk of his patrol car.

To funny not to share...I put a weedeater that no longer worked in the trash yesterday and placed the trash can by the road for trash pickup today. The first vehicle I stopped this morning had my weedeater in the bed of his pickup truck. What are the odds? Have a safe day.

Gibson County - Yesterday an autistic teen ran away from home. His mom & dad found him a short time later along US 41. He was very upset. Trooper Lee was able to calm him down and take him home. They bonded and the teen wanted to show Trooper Lee some of his pets.

Knox: Master Trooper Dotson found a homeless man sleeping in his car in Bicknell this morning. Dotson used his own credit card to purchase gas for the gentleman’s car. He was trying to get to Evansville. Sometimes it’s the small things we do that mean the most.

My grandson Killian is blind and loves to talk to people. One day I made the mistake of leaving my portable police radio unattended. He heard it, tracked it down and decided to try and talk on it. His tone and police lingo was spot on. I was 😡 at first, but I ❤️ this kid!

Last night, one of our troopers had a difficult time getting home after his shift. A farmer from the William’s Farm and a farmer from Hoke Farms came to the rescue and made the road drivable, so our trooper was able arrive home safely. We appreciate our farmers! Thanks so much.
