The Study of English Literature is Dying in the West The Salvific Value of Islamic Perspectives on English Literature By Md. Mahmudul Hasan Jan/Feb 25 Many believe that Islam and English literature are mutually exclusive. Some people may even shudder at the thought of integrating one into the other. English literature’s global reach is often greeted with disquiet, as it’s considered a corollary to Britain’s colonial expansion. What’s more, its study is generally believed to be unsuited to the needs of non-British or non-Western readers. In a 2019 essay, Esmaeil Zeiny... #islamichorizonsmagazine #islamichorizons #ISNA #horizons2025

Contemplating Nature By Nana Firman Nature holds divine knowledge that invites deep exploration. It is not an empty reality or merely an accessory; rather, it serves as a medium for humans to connect with their Creator. By shifting our perspective, we can see nature as a spiritual conduit to understand God. In fact, plants, animals, and the natural world possess sentience and consciousness, engaging in tasbih (glorification of God) through constant dhikr (remembrance). In Islam, all creations reflect God’s beautiful names and deserve respect, as stated in the Qur'an: “There is no creature moving on the earth, nor a bird flying on its two wings, but they are all communities like you. We have not missed anything in the Book. Then, to their Lord all of them shall be gathered” (Qur’an 6:38). In that respect, human beings can engage with God through nature. #contemplatingnature #spiritualconnection #QuranicWisdom #NatureAndFaith #CreationOfAllah #ReflectingOnCreation #IslamicPerspective #GreenDeen #sustainablefaith #FaithAndEnvironment
