A wonderful achievement by the students & teachers of Masibinta School! A clear demonstration of the many ways the #Diaspora can contribute to their home communities through 🤝Financial investments 🤝Knowledge transfer 🤝Community based projects 🤝Facilitating partnerships
Woke up to some good news. When Citizens Initiative started work at Masibinta Secondary School in Binga, they had 0% pass rate. We built 2 blocks in 2023 and provided text books with the help of @UNmigration. The pass rate increased to 13% that year. In 2024 it rose to 41.03%. The school is now ranked 7th out of 46 in Binga. Even ahead of Binga High School. This reinforces our belief that investing in decent infrastructure is a sure way to improve academic outcomes in our communities. To those who spared their hard-earned money to help the people of Binga, it was not in vain. You have changed lives!
