Incredibly sad news. Eavan Boland was a powerful public figure and one of the most-studied and best-loved poets for thousands of Leaving Cert students and their teachers. Suaimhneas síoraí dá hanam.
We are shocked to hear of the death of Hon. MRIA Eavan Boland and our thoughts are with her family RIP. She was a pleasure to work with and is pictured below at the UN reading her poem about women's suffrage 'Our future will become the past of other women'

This is an excellent idea. Many students are having to access films they would normally watch in class, and reading plays rather than seeing them performed/reading as a group. Not all have streaming services/money for DVDs but almost every house has a television.
