Our demand to declare the Wayanad landslides a national disaster was accepted by the Central Government. This was possible because of the pressure we applied in Parliament and the Assembly, as well as the pressure you all exerted here. Consequently, the Government had to take action. Therefore, the Government must allocate more funds for the victims. I am happy that we were able to achieve this. However, our tribal communities face numerous challenges, including inadequate access to healthcare, education, and essential services. Farmers are also struggling with various issues.
