My dad asked me why Abbeville always wins. I could have named a lot of reasons, but an incredible youth football program is No. 1, in my opinion. Those kids don’t dream about playing in the NFL. They dream about playing on Friday nights at Hite Stadium.

Friday night will be @CoachsmithMark (Abbeville assistant coach Mark Smith’s) 500th game at the school. He also was a longtime baseball coach. I met coach when I first arrived in the Lakelands in 1996. You won’t find a better human being. Thanks to @ChrisTrainorSC for the tip.
