📢 The 4th Sub-Regional Climate Outlook Forum (Sub-RCOF4): Enhancing the Uptake of Climate Information and Services for the IGAD Cluster 1 (Karamoja Cluster) has concluded! We have made significant strides in bridging the gap for early warning information and response to climate risks for last-mile users and communities across the IGAD cross-border region. Over the past few days, we have: 👉🏾 Refined and tailored the MAM 2025 seasonal forecasts specifically for the Karamoja Cluster, sharing them to empower local communities. 👉🏾 Engaged stakeholders at all levels to raise awareness, improve access to climate information, and guide decision-making in climate-sensitive sectors. 👉🏾 Strengthened the capacity of local media practitioners to enhance the dissemination of weather and climate information. 👉🏾 Integrated proven local and traditional knowledge into climate adaptation strategies. 👉🏾 Developed and shared tailored climate advisories for key sectors, including agriculture/food security, livestock, conflict management, and water resources, to support critical response actions.
