I hear you all when you say, ‘The recipe has changed.’ I taste it too. As I told @PBDsPodcast, the pizza doesn’t taste the same—something in the recipe or ingredients has definitely changed. In 1984, ‘Better Ingredients, Better Pizza’ wasn’t just a slogan—it was a promise. I’m hopeful that the new CEO, @toddpenegor33, can turn things around and restore the brand to its former greatness!

I was saddened to hear of the recent passing of Mark Kimmel, a valued friend and former partner at Stanislaus Food Products. Reflecting on my years working with Mark and the team at Stanislaus reminds me of their commitment to quality that helped to drive the success of Papa John’s and supported my own journey toward the American Dream. For that, I am deeply grateful. As many of you know, “Better Ingredients” at Papa John’s was more than just a slogan—it was a promise to our customers. Mark and his team at Stanislaus were integral to that promise, embodying the values and dedication that make this country great. May Mark rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and the entire Stanislaus team.
