@HumberRoads @travel_hull @Hullccnews @HumberbeatHULL I'm not sure understand the logic of stopping and reminding cyclists obeying the highway code to ride in accordance with it? Especially as the junction doesn't accommodate cyclists safely, and based on this info, has an issue with driver rule compliance?

@HumberRoads @travel_hull @Hullccnews @HumberbeatHULL So they were following the highway code already?

@HumberRoads @travel_hull @Hullccnews @HumberbeatHULL And what specifically were the 15 highway code infractions of the cyclists from yesterday?

@travel_hull @HumberRoads @HumbersidePCC @HeyVolunteering @Hullccnews In addition to being raised at the cycle forum recently, the issue was actually raised in numerous objections to the change received at the consultation stage... in 2023. Please can we have an update?

@grayneale50 @StoryHull @Hullccnews @Hull_Labour I seem to recall recently coming out in support of inheritance tax-dodging landowners? According to his leaflets, he's all for 'sorting out traffic', but presumably there's a caveat covering roads being blocked by disgruntled multi-millionaires?

Recent years have seen decreased in footfall in town, an increases in driven road use, and Hull ranking 7th in the UK for obesity in 2022/2023. Maybe, just perhaps, the prevalence of fast-food drive-throughs is a factor is this, @cllrmikeross?

@BillBright97153 @Stokesy1966 Mine was a flimsy sticker with a number on it rather than a license plate as such! Isn’t that just to identify it when returning them back, rather than a requirement?

@RadioHumberside The lengths @Hullccnews go to feign interest in cycling safety with schemes like this, rather than modernising the junction and making it safe for cyclists is extraordinary. It really is.

@dstephenh99 @Adespoto3 @BBCSpotlight Unfortunately, we cannot theory to the rest of the UK. You made the rule that urban trends are non-transferable when I cited a London study. So, by your logic, even if your theory was evidenced locally - it's not - we cannot apply that rule elsewhere.

@dstephenh99 @Adespoto3 @BBCSpotlight Well, if you're going to be like that - do you live in any of the 12 trial areas from the Government's 20 mph Study you posted?

#Hull, where patronising victim blaming is seen by organisations like @Hullccnews as a legitimate alternative to installing safe cycling infrastructure.

@dstephenh99 @Adespoto3 @BBCSpotlight TFL research suggests that urban journey times are rarely impacted by 20mph zones due to vehicles rarely reaching the limit due to capacity demands, etc. According to TomTom the average speed on Plymouth roads is around just 15mph anyway.

@dstephenh99 @Adespoto3 @BBCSpotlight That'd be the negative economic impact as predicted by a̵ ̵w̵e̵a̵l̵t̵h̵ ̵o̵f̵ ̵p̵e̵e̵r̵ ̵r̵e̵v̵i̵e̵w̵e̵d̵ ̵r̵e̵s̵e̵a̵r̵c̵h̵ ̵i̵n̵t̵e̵r̵p̵r̵e̵t̵t̵i̵n̵g̵ ̵r̵i̵c̵h̵ ̵d̵a̵t̵a̵-̵s̵e̵t̵s̵... your "common sense"?

@dstephenh99 @Adespoto3 @BBCSpotlight ...Apart from where I reference the data this study presents that doesn't confirm you said, obviously.
