@PhilipGrant40 26 years ago this week, the arrest of Pinochet, the Chilean dictator, gave hope to victims and it was a huge boost to the international justice movement. Part of what made that event so consequential is that back then almost nobody thought it possible.

At a side event at @OSCE Warsaw Human Dimension Conference today, @Tsihanouskaya acknowledged the work of the @IAPBelarus and noted that it “has laid the ground for Lithuania’s referral [of some international crimes in Belarus] to the #ICC".
Excited to be back in Warsaw, home to thousands of Belarusians. I will speak at #WSF2024 & @OSCE #WarsawHDC & meet with leaders from 🇵🇱 & other democracies to discuss #Belarus' role in the war, release of political prisoners & accountability for the regime through @IntlCrimCourt.
