After cleaning up the mayors office, Hyndburn Labour will take a new broom to Overview & Scrutiny. The nomination of ‘friends’ as co-optees on important Council committees will be rescinded and replaced by merit. The politicised standards board is under review.

Hyndburn Labour pledged 12mths ago to clean up the council & look forward. The Tory Coalition had turned the Mayoral office into a circus, abusing & breaking the constitution for political attacks. Labour is ending vanity projects, fixing financial blackhole & cleaning up HBC.
