Alex Karaban is a UConn legend & w/out him there would be no B2B 'ships, but he's in a shooting slump & its affected his confidence. Don't think the solution is to shoot more deep 3s. He needs to pick his spots w/ drives, crash the off boards, get a few buckets & then pop open 3s

Tarris Reed was a beast against St. Johns. He had 15 reb, 3 blocks & no single defender could stop him in the post. UConn should feed him more in the post, especially when the rest of the offense goes cold. In a physical game, against an athletic team, Tarris shined.

After tonight, Solo Ball has 67 three pointers in the season on 45.6% shooting, 2nd only to Ray Allen ('96 at 46.6%). Allen also has the record for most 3 pointers made in a season at 115...will be fun to watch Solo chase after both records.

Shoutout to Jaylin Stewart. It was his hot start that gave UConn a double digit lead early. Helped prevent the record crowd from being too much of a factor early into the game...probably the most naturally talented player on the team (along with Solo), bright future for him

Samson Johnson was great tonight. Perfect from the field (4/4) & free throw line (5/5). He also showed his versatility where he locked up Kam Jones on a few possessions on defense.

Special shoutout to Hassan the General Diarra!! Most players would not even play on a hurt knee like his but he is a warrior & played against some of the best defenders in the country hounding him & he still delivered! He is turning into a UConn legend.

Solo Ball is special! Best 3-point assassin in the country & is now realizing he can use his hops & wingspan to be a rebounding machine. He is going to be a pre-season All American going into next year...& is leading UConn towards a special ending this season

Even as the reigning B2B champions, that was the best regular season win in the past 3 years. On the road at a top-10 team before a record crowd, w/ our first rounder out, our General playing on 1 knee, our Captain in a funk, & after a near DePaul debacle...lets goooooo!! #UConn

Aidan Mahaney had his best game of the year. The big threes, the tough drives, and some great dimes. To me, it looks like he plays his best when he is not overthinking & is just playing. He plays at a much higher level when he sees a few buckets go in.

Xavier is a good team. X beat Marquette on the road, should have beat St Johns on the road, & UConn w/ Karaban fouled out, & Hassan in foul trouble most of the game, was still a Solo Ball 3 away from winning...love the fight in this imperfect team & we need McNeely back soon!
