We've responded to 8 #IndianRiverLagoon dolphin strandings in 2025, including "Boston", a young male who survived a boat strike in 2018 💔🐬. Bird flu is confirmed in 2 cases & we continue monitoring dolphin health with @NOAAFisheriesSE. Big thanks to our partners in this effort.

Ever wonder how scientists determine the age of a fish? It's all thanks to their otoliths (ear bones) small, calcified structures in the fish's inner ear that grow annually. This otolith image is of a 12-year-old white seabass! #WhiteSeabass #FisheriesResearch @CCA_California
