Denmark decides to donate all 19 CAESAR howitzers to Ukraine and will replace with a new capacity.
Well, guess who has been pledging for this for a very long time….
Well done Danish government!
Please stop this nonsense about “offensive” weapons in relation to Ukraine.
Ukraine should have all the weapon systems, training, spare parts, financial support, ammunition and intelligence necessary to kick out Russia from Ukraine and to ensure they never return.
Proud of my youngest son who is going to make a presentation for “speakers corner” for English lessons and has chosen Simo Häyhä as the topic. His other candidate was Ronaldo, but as my son said “everyone in my class knows about Ronaldo and they need to know about Simo”.
Denmark will deliver the 19 CAESAR 155mm howitzers to Ukraine within the next couple of weeks as the Ukrainian soldiers today have finalised their training in Denmark. The donation was announced 19 January 2023.

Denmark 🇩🇰 will deliver the first Leopard 1A5DK tanks for 🇺🇦 training within the next two weeks as part of a batch about 80 tanks (for two battalions) within the next couple of months. A total of 100 tanks will be donated with 🇩🇪 and 🇳🇱 support.
Ukraine: Last batch of the 2,700 M72 EC LAW anti-tank weapons was delivered to Ukraine yesterday and the Danish C-130 Hercules has returned to its base.

I would suggest the Danish government to seriously consider buying back the 120-160 ex-Danish Leopard 1A5 DK currently held by German company FFG and donate them to Ukraine (with end-user certificate) maybe in cooperation with UK and US, so the Bundestag has no more excuses.

🇩🇰Denmark donates another 30 Leopard 1 tanks to 🇺🇦Ukraine in addition to the already agreed 80, which are in the process of being delivered. More surprisingly, Denmark also donates 15 modernised T-72 tanks to Ukraine.
Why do media consistently claim that the attack in Belgorod is the first time Ukraine strikes on Russian soil? Examples:

The sudden apparent blind selection of replacement capacity for the CAESAR 155mm howitzer in Denmark after the donation to Ukraine does not make sense. Denmark is forming a medium heavy infantry brigade and in NATO planning we are to deliver a heavy infantry brigade by 2032. 1/6

The idea about creating a pool of Leopard 2 for Ukraine is excellent if leading to end-user certificates or even donation by Germany. Ideally, initially, a model such as A5 or A6 should be selected as A4 and A7 would be too different.

Here is the only Danish current land-based air defence - admittedly somewhat fixed in its current museum display.
More than a decade of gross negligence has resulted in a defence completely eradicated a long range of capabilities. Air defence being only one example…

The most significant impact of the 🇩🇰Danish and 🇳🇱Dutch donation of F-16 planes to 🇺🇦Ukraine is not the number of aircraft, but the West now de facto delivering combat aircraft. If 🇧🇪Belgium, 🇳🇴Norway, 🇺🇸 and others follow suit Ukraine can operate 200-300 F-16 within a 1-3 years.
