Didn’t know he’d passed. In ? the early 80’s he taught me how to do a “screening neuro exam” and the truism; “the dumb dedicated documenting doctor is defensible”. I’ve used/taught both for decades since. May his memory be a blessing.
Well first of all may I thank you for your very kind words - none of which are true as I consider myself just a working stiff surrounded by truly excellent people. Second of all, I knew Greg Henry. he was funny and lovely and I am not at all surprised by this vignette.

Humbled by all the good wishes and kind remarks. My career and successes were only possible due to the great mentors I’ve learned from and so many wonderful colleagues and friends especially all those who covered the ER so capably all these years.
Dr. Howard Ovens, Mount Sinai Hospital Emergency Physician was appointed to the Order of Ontario by Lieutenant Governor Edith Dumont. Our province's highest civilian honour for extraordinary contribution - which is what has been his remarkable and long career. @HowardOvens
