More on a very strong showing, ASU is tied with Texas A&M and Virginia for the most players recognized on the preseason list for college baseball's most prestigious award. This is the strongest showing for Arizona State since they placed three in 2020.

Bloomquist said the Sunday starter role is still “up in the air” but feels they are in a much better position with it than last year. “We have a lot of good options on Sunday, it might change from week to week… those are options we didn’t have in the past”

BREAKING: Arizona State gets their Big 12 Championship rematch November 1st in Ames against Iowa State, per @PeteThamel December's game was the first time the two teams ever met, and this November will be ASU's first trip to Ames in program history.

Jacobs has had a meteoric rise from appearing just seven times his freshman season at UCLA to starting on Friday nights for likely a season and a half at ASU. Certainly one of the top four or five transfers in the Willie Bloomquist era, maybe higher.
