hi! my work is all original. to me. I did it. I drew it, I carved it. with my own filthy hands. it is not copied. it is not referenced. I am alive now, not an artist from 1500. it is not free to copy. if you see someone doing that I would appreciate your calling them on it. 🥲
quick reminder because I’ve gotten a couple weirdos lately: I am a homosexual who carves weird quasi-religious art about being a nasty gay ex-catholic and all of it is about being gay. yes, even that one. thanks

A pair of matched 6x12 blocks I finished last week. (These two are not printed yet! I'm planning something special in June and they'll be available then.)
"I am a serpent, a lion, I pass through the fire and have no fear of it, my flesh will rend and my bones be broken, in every way will I be changed, but no harm will ever come to me--and I will have no fear of the bottomless pit."

"Nothing is New Here Underneath the Sun"
My newest linocut, a memento mori, finally available. 9x12 block printed on 12x16 okwara paper. The text is taken from page headings in the 15th century "Danse Macabre des Femmes," translation to follow.
I know the unforgiving endless scroll has reabsorbed that museum director saying that the way art was made doesn't matter, but in case anyone was still in need of convincing that it does, in fact, matter how art was made:

I'm a printmaker from Columbus, Ohio, I have a BFA in illustration and I've been doing linocut relief work for about 2 years. I used to work in a morgue and currently work at a fine arts supply.
new print reveal! I still have a loooot to do to prep for getting all this new stuff done for the end of july but it’s been really fun going through my big pile of new, unprinted blocks and finally seeing them on paper
I’ve been learning some basic video editing, I’m not really used to working for this format yet but thought I’d show a little process for my recent 2-color print

Watercolor & gouache over relief print on Rives BFK
I'm only painting a VERY LIMITED edition of these colorized prints, between 3 and 10 depending on what I decide. (I will have one painted print at AC & one in the MFF art show)
BRUXISM, hand-painted, 3 prints--part of a limited edition of watercolored prints from this block.
(This was originally a 3-block, 3-color process print, and I chose to paint it a little differently from how those editions appeared. Delighted with how deep and vivid it looks!)
Realizing as I package sold prints that I don't think I ever posted this little guy anywhere other than maybe instagram, or at any rate I don't have a scan of him. He's proven surprisingly popular!
"Absit omen" means "May the evil/omen be absent."
Hi! I’m having the first 2 of 4 major surgeries on 9/9.
Quick version: I have 2 extra ribs in my neck and a genetic condition called Marfan syndrome.
These are causing my bones to crush the arteries, veins, and nerves that lead to both my arms.
