Painted in June/July 2013. Some very late nights/early mornings because I didn’t want the paint to dry while the dripping window and passing train were in progress - it had to stay fluid enough to move around

Another fox and another pub… this one’s called The Bricklayer’s Arms, which was a reference to my own right arm after ‘laying’ hundreds of individual bricks….

This painting has been interpreted in different ways. For me, originally at least, it was about priorities and a sense of proportion. The inspiration was UKIP (in the days before the country's more general lurch to the myopic right).

Every year I do a painting for Mum & Dad’s Christmas cards. Just sounding out interest - would others want to buy packs (of say 20) of ‘Collaboration’ if I print more? It would be cost + postage + charity donation (maybe £1 a card, depending on print cost)
