Nice to see the pilot boat popping in to Seatoun Wharf today, much to the delight of the local wharf jumpers. @Wellingtonnz #CentrePort

I was privileged to visit the haunting Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi concentration camps during my years in Poland, including for the 70th anniversary of liberation commemoration in 2015. Some of the same survivors were also at today’s 80th anniversary. @AuschwitzMuseum @NZinWarsaw

Very happy to visit Masterton’s Aratoi Museum which is currently hosting the exhibition Dream Gardens, including this stunning embroidered Jardin à la française by Catherine Lloyd, set in a cold frame - once used by gardeners as frost protection. @AratoiM @womensart1 #MastertonNZ

Looking very pleased about the chaos created around the local rubbish bins while scavenging for dinner … maybe some fish 🐟 and chips from just up the road. @Wellingtonnz

Love these beautiful traditional style merry-go-rounds which you come across in European cities and towns, especially in #France. With winter on the way, they will be a centrepiece for many Christmas markets.🎄

In this iconic photo, New Zealand Prime Minister Peter Fraser meets the Polish children who arrived in @Wellingtonnz on 1 November 1944 on the US troop ship General Randall. Most of those children stayed in #NZ, forming the core of a vibrant Polish community @KancelariaSejmu
Today we remember Polish children who arrived to Pahiatua 80 years ago, a powerful testament to resilience and 🇳🇿 - 🇵🇱 friendship. Earlier this month, we proudly shared our commemorative exhibition in the Polish Parliament, highlighting this unique chapter of our common history.
