Gomāta as Bhoodevi & Vrishabhā as Dharmā according to our Shāstras 🚩 #ShortThread According to the most sacred Shrimad Bhāgvatam, the 1st Canto, has this celebrated prasanga of King Parikshit who encountering the converation between Dharani Devi ( in the form of Gomāta) & Dharma as a bull. In various scriptures including the Ramayana, the sacred Gomata has been depicted as the very forbearing, forgiving & compassionate Devi Dharani (Bhoomāta). She verily bears the all the weight & silently suffers while forgiving every Jeevā, because She is the compassionate Bhoodevi, the Consort of Shri Mahavishnu, Who sustains the entire Creation. Devi Prithvi has taken the form of Gomāta in Ramayana & also in Shrimad Bhāgvatam as we all know. The Shāstras always unequivocaly state Dharma as the very foundation or roots of this tree of creation (धर्मद्रुम). Dharma is always represented as the bull, or Vrishabhā in our Shāstras. The bull in the form of Dharma stands on the four feet that represent •Truthfulness (Satyam): A core principle of dharma •Compassion (Daya): Kindness and mercy •Austerity (Tapa): Simplicity and self-control •Cleanliness (Shaucham): Purity So, it is interesting to ponder over this information even with a Sākshibhāva, because one of the greatest of the Poorna Avatāras is Bhagavan Shri Gopāla Krishna, Whom we Sanātanis worship.
