This week, we had @jbrownedianis on our weekly #SundayBrunch livestream to talk about the three-pronged attack on our government: dismantling institutions, encouraging federal workers to quit and attacking necessary diversity, equity and inclusion programs. You'll definitely want to take a listen. (And once you're done, you'll also definitely want to RSVP for our future Sunday Brunches, every week at 2pm ET!)

"As a Black person, you think about how much our history has been claimed by others," she says. "I felt a sense of ownership and anger that our influence on so many of these genres had been erased," says @DJHoneyBun6, a NYC based DJ who hosts a Black-centered Lot Radio show Buntopia. #BlackWomenLead #BlackHistoryMonth

Women of color continue to serve in all types of roles in our military and their communities and the National Association of Black Military Women (@NABMW) was founded to make sure their contributions are documented. “And our motto is to tell her story ‘cause our stories were not being told,” retired Lt. Col. Ida Goodwine said. More in: @Live5News #BlackWomenLead #BlackHistoryMonth

Back in 2023, @AMLockwood_ became the first Black woman to coach in a Super Bowl, breaking barriers on the sidelines as an assistant sports performance coach for the @Eagles in Super Bowl LVII. Fast forward to today, and she’s taken it a step further: making history as the first Black woman coach to ever win a Super Bowl. #BlackWomenLead

Support groups working with domestic violence survivors say many Black survivors of intimate partner violence don't report abuse to their loved ones or the police due to barriers such as a lack of trust in the criminal justice system and a long-standing societal belief that Black women should always present an image of strength. #BlackWomenLead

As the @NAACP's director of branches, #EllaBaker revolutionized grassroots organizing by traveling thousands of miles across the South, establishing new branches and developing local leadership at great personal risk. Her philosophy that "strong people don't need strong leaders" transformed how movements organize, inspiring generations of activists to prioritize grassroots power over individual charisma. #BlackWomenLead
