📣 Calling active firefighters! 804 is Burning is offering hands-on training (HOT) to firefighters in the area. Any interested firefighter can sign up for one-day or two-day courses to learn from peers in the field and to meet fellow firefighters across multiple jurisdictions.

Liam is now outfitted with his own Henrico Fire helmet, as well as a WOAH! safety vest. Our team also made sure Liam knows what to do if he sees a fire or hears a smoke alarm — he's a natural future firefighter!

Our firefighters were able to show Liam the station, safety equipment and the trucks (though he particularly loved the ladder truck!).

We were so honored that Liam wanted to spend his third birthday learning about our firefighters at Station #13. Liam lives near the Gayton station and gets excited every time his family drives past the fire house.

On the grounds of the @HenricoFire's Training Center, you will find a memorial holding a steel column cut from Tower 1 of the World Trade Center, specifically from floors 92-95.

On this day, we remember the thousands of lives lost in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. We honor their extraordinary sacrifice and courageous actions and remember all those forever impacted by one of one of the darkest days in our country's history.
