Jack- the boy with odds stacked against him from the start.
The boy who fought a losing battle for 2 long years.
The boy who taught me so much about life and love.
The boy who helped other sick babies.
The boy who made me a Mammy.
Jack- my boy, my son.
Anniversaries are hard.
I run the Salthill/Knocknacarra/Claddagh area of Galway a couple of times a week.
Usually run on my own for my mental well being.
If there is any woman/women who want to join me for safety in numbers and for our physical well being, please get in touch.

A pupil of mine who is non-verbal used Irish sign language for the first time today to sign 'hello' to me 😭
All the feels, a huge achievement for him.
Still beaming for the little guy.
And now we build from this 👊
Just one reason why I love my job so much.

Just curious...if I asked you to 'tumble the wildcat' would you know what it meant?
My friends from Cork, Dub and USA never heard the expression, my Galway mate knew straight away....is this just a Galway thing?!

My son Jack was born when I was 20, he had a rare condition and received palliative care for his 23 months of life. His life may have been short but he taught me so much and made me realise I wanted to work with children.I now work with children with additional needs

I may not be able to hold my Jack, but he made me a Mammy and for that I am truly grateful.
Mother's Day can bring up many feelings when you're bereaved.
Be gentle with yourselves today.
New school term begins 😬
To my fellow school employees- stay safe, mask up and enjoy all the "significant measures" available in your schools that no other sectors have....
Yard duty, I'm ready for you.
@GrantSana
🥺 Had a 2 year gap in my CV, during a very difficult time when my son was born and spent the two years of his life under palliative care, during that time I was his full time caregiver. Having to justify the reasons for the 'gap' in my CV made for very uncomfortable interviews.
@AuroraBorealice
Hi. Is there anything else we can do to help? Take the financial burden of lessons off you? Or pay for transport to and from treatment? I would happily help in any way I can, I'm sure others would too.
@RobOHanrahan
Classroom temperature was 13.4 today. By the time school finished it has climbed to 15.3, not reaching the minimum acceptable level set out in the Circular 🥶
"I've never talked about this before" has been said by a lot of guests on the
#tommytiernanshow
Tommy has an extraordinary ability to find a connection with every single guest he has on the show. This is an art and a rare one at that.
Holy moly!
I arrived to my parents house to this little guy.
They only went and got a new puppy.
I can't cope with him.
Cannot cope.
Bawling 😭
Just look at him there.
Meet Rua.
Principal "Are you putting your name down for Summer Provision?"
Me "No, I have plans to be in Dubl.."
P "It's just that we are understaffed & may not be able to fully run it"
Me "I hope you secure extra staff "

Some of our pupils and their families find it difficult to visit Santa at Christmas. Over stimulating, disrupt their routine, too many unknowns.
Solution- build a Santa grotto at school. Bring Santa to our pupils (and their families)
I love my job

The lack of awareness and education from The Happy Pear is just staggering.
Spreading cancer misinformation despite being factually debunked by scientists, doctors & cancer charities.
Why has it taken some people so long to realise they are two doses who sell food & do handstands
Jack- the boy with odds stacked against him from the very start.
The boy who fought a losing battle for 2 long years. The boy who donated himself to help others. The boy who taught me so much about life. The boy who never came home.
Jack- my boy, my son.
Anniveraries are hard.
These bad boys from every Irish household in the 80's/90's (or today in my parents gaff)
They made any cup of tea look like pure filth.

Haven't been crocheting much recently, but a sleepless night was the perfect opportunity to finish these two little cuties.
Delighted with them.
Got my creative spark back!

another giant of the traditional music world has left us. One of those musicians who gave a musical instrument a life of it's own 💔
I first met him when he visited my school and I accompanied him on bodhrán for 2 songs at a session. He was truly one of the greats.
