Changes at the corner of Alberta St and Braganza St almost complete - looking forward to the new planting. Chapter Road, Amelia St and Alberta St improvements have all gone in this autumn in West Walworth. Thanks @lb_southwark

West Walworth Streetspace schemes - update. Almost all the construction work now completed on making the schemes permanent at Chapter Road and Amelia St (snagging and planting still to come). Work about to start at Alberta St/Braganza St junction.

Interesting Green Investment initiative from @lb_southwark to support moves towards a carbon neutral borough by 2030. Initial aim to raise up to £1m for more cycle hangars, LED street lighting & schools and leisure centre retrofit programmes. Fingers crossed for projects in SE17

At the same time as traffic reduction measures in Browning St are being made permanent, in West Walworth Manor Place is also being tackled with footway widening by the new terrace and Stopford Rd & Delverton Rd narrowed to make it safer and shorter for people to cross.

...and another good thing from @lb_southwark is the introduction of these Walk to School maps - soon there will be 50 around the borough - showing walking routes ten and 15 minutes away from local schools.

Looks like @lb_southwark are just starting to build the permanent scheme on Browning Street with a wider pavement, separate cycle track with crossing points for pedestrians and new planting.
