@SharpT_ @NFUtweets @NFUBBO Also the return on capital for the average Uk business is 8.8%, whereas for farms it is 0.5%, so it would take 40years to clear the inheritance tax if the tax had no interest and the farmer drew no income from the business for those 40years.

@SharpT_ @NFUtweets @NFUBBO I am a partner in the business but not in land ownership. The advice with farms has always been to keep ownership with the oldest generation. So for example if I die before my father he will not loose his house, and job as well as his son.

@cooperphil156 @NFUtweets @NFUBBO This was a post from back in November not today, and from the looks of the video the tractors are trying to pull over out of the way, but I agree that the last thing we want to do is to slow down the emergency services. I have huge respect for the emergency services.

@SharpT_ @NFUtweets @NFUBBO Hi, we still pay taxes, our business is a partnership so we pay tax on all money the farm makes before we draw our income, so I have big bill to pay by the end of the month.

There are no hand outs anymore, BPS has gone, SFI pays us for environmental outcomes.

@UKLabour a strong agricultural industry doesn’t just underpin 10s of thousands of jobs on British farms, but also thousands of skilled jobs with British engineering companies. @lammashow was a great opportunity to highlight this point!

Thank you @_CallumAnderson for coming out today to listen to a group of farm suppliers & service providers. Farmers are focusing on survival with very little optimism for the future, so long term investment is stalling and it’s not just the farmers that are feeling the pinch.

@ragwortfacts @Simclay Ragwort has its place in the British countryside, but I would like to minimise it in my pasture fields as I have experienced its rapid spread. I don’t deny that I am not a botanist, but would rather have less toxic plants for my livestock to graze.

@spratmum72 @NoningtonFarms @UKLabour Hi, we don’t have dairy cows, and grow pretty much all of our own cattle feed (other than some minerals) 👍

@AiringViews @UKLabour Respected economist have shown otherwise and the tax changes are more likely to leave only 25% of working farms unaffected.
