No it just wasnโt worth the hype, and tbh kinda cringe. After youโve read brilliant political intrigue books like GoT or WoT or any of Sanderson books or Robin Hobb, the cruel prince seems like itโs written by a teenager and it lacks a lot of intrigue and leans towards romance
potential hot take but people who didn't like the cruel prince most likely disliked it bc it was sold to them as this big romantic fantasy and not a political intrigue with a romance subplot so ppl went in with the wrong expectations and it fell flat for them
