Cold and grey earlier but at least it stayed dry. Four riders made it to Ongar for coffee and bagels, posed for class photo by the town sign then home. Next Sunday- Coopersale Street, Theydon Oak.

Apologies for the short notice but today’s ride is cancelled owing to the low overnight temperatures and the risk of icy road surfaces. Hopefully normal service will be resumed next Sunday for our ride to Chipping Ongar.

Six out earlier, ride cut short. Two made it as far as Langdon Nature Reserve. Four turned back even earlier and ended up in Farm Café A near Upminster. Next Sunday- Margaretting, Ingatestone Saddlery for a meet up with Chelmsford CTC.

Weather for tomorrow afternoon looks dodgy so we’ll start an hour early at 9am to give us a chance to get home before the worst of it. Apologies for the short notice, hopefully normal service will be resumed next Sunday!

A chilly ride earlier. 7 set off to Limehouse via Dagenham, Beckton & City Airport. 2 more on “Boris Bikes” joined us in Poplar. Thawed out over coffee in The Yurt Café then back home. Next Sunday- Ramsden Heath, Brew Heaven Café.

Snow and ice didn’t happen, we got heavy rain instead. Shorter ride was decided on so we set off for The Cosy Cup Café via Bulphan and Dunton. Next Sunday- Coalhouse Fort, The Engine Room Café.

Met Office have issued a warning for snow and ice this weekend so. Ride may be cut short or cancelled. Hopefully weather won’t be as bad as the Met Office predict.

With a weather warning in place for tomorrow our New Year’s Day ride is cancelled. Hopefully the weather will be ok for our ride to Epping this Sunday.
