TWENTY-EIGHT years to date— This #IndianBrave, despite being injured, pursued two fleeing militants, eliminating one and engaging the other, fighting until his last breath. #LestWeForgetIndia🇮🇳 Rifleman Sanjay Sahi, Kirti Chakra (P), 15 GARH RIF, led a raid in Zhamai, Nagaland and made he supreme sacrifice #OnThisDay 06 February in 1997. On 05/06 February 1997, Rfn Sahi part of the Quick Reaction Team, participated in an operation in Zhamai, Phek District, Nagaland. After apprehending a banned organization's Civil Administrative Officer, the team proceeded to another suspect's house. Rfn Sahi volunteered to lead the raid and was shot in the left arm upon entry. Despite his injury, he pursued two fleeing underground militants and killed one of them. Engaging the second militant, he was critically wounded by AK-47 fire but continued firing, preventing the enemy from taking his weapon or harming his comrades. Rfn Sahi succumbed to his injuries at 0330 hours on 06 February 1997, displaying extraordinary courage, dedication, and making the ultimate sacrifice for his mission. #ChinarWarriors to the Rescue. A massive fire broke out due to short circuit at Chukar, Nihalpura, Baramulla on 03 Feb 25. Chinar Warriors swung into action & contained the blaze in coordination with the Fire Department, preventing significant loss of life and property. Timely medical assistance was also provided to the affected citizens.
