Bob Uecker, 87, was asked during his 50th anniversary presser how much longer he'd broadcast #Brewers games: “I don’t want to be in a spot where I’m going to embarrass myself on the air or embarrass the organization. So, I always wear a diaper.” God love him.

The time has come. After 36 years of covering #Brewers and baseball for @journalsentinel, I am announcing my retirement. The plan is to stay on job through Feb. or thereabouts. Will post more info on Facebook in a bit but am very grateful to have had this long, rewarding career.

Of all the pics I took of Bob Uecker while on the #Brewers beat, this is one of my faves. Yeli absolutely adored him. They had a special bond.

@RepMTG How about an investigation into the number of Americans who died of Covid because Republicans made them afraid to be vaccinated? That would be a worthwhile investigation.

#Brewers have been vaccinated as team and staff with the cooperation of Milwaukee Dept. of Health. And they are putting out a PSA to endorse being vaccinated. Good way to lead as a ballclub in the community.

The #Brewers will be without Ryan Braun for the two games in Montreal against the Blue Jays. Sounds like he thought he had his passport with him but turns out he didn't. So, couldn't come to Canada.

Lorenzo Cain has a lot of class and so do the #Brewers. Club allowed him to get to 10-year service level today, with all of the rewards that come with it in retirement, before he was DFA'd by mutual agreement. All the best to a great guy who has had a great career.

George HW Bush and Barbara often attended Astros games and it was fun seeing them when #Brewers played there. They would always end "Kiss Cam" video segment with George and Barbara, and it was so cute how they'd always act so surprised. Loved it. RIP. They are back together.

I love all the criticism about Counsell removing his pitcher when the #Brewers have zero runs. They have zero runs, folks. This is not about a pitching move. They have zero runs. And for that matter, zero over the last two games. Talking about pitching moves is missing the point.

Best part of #Brewers new TV deal is all the talent returns. Brian Anderson has become national star during time here and "Rock" solid Bill Schroeder is great analyst. Sophia Minnaert is perfect complement. When BA is away, you have Matt Lepay and Jeff Levering. What a group.
