@Mcn_xd I plan to, but you can’t seriously be suggesting the difference between an East Anglian and a west country man, or between a Scot and a Northerner is the same as the difference between them and a continental who doesn’t even speak English. ‘White’ is just an oversimplification.

@Mcn_xd You should read conquest of a continent, it was racially and religiously somewhat homogeneous, with some exceptions obviously, but that doesn’t disprove the rule. Yes you should be upset immigration from Ireland replaced the people living there prior. I know they were.

@Mcn_xd Why would you not want a racially and religiously united country? The white population was almost fully NW European and Protestant, that was completely thrown away, I’m not claiming it’s comparable to the influx of non-Europeans like we see today, but it all started there.

@Mcn_xd In what way did they ‘miss the actual enemy’ they still killed black criminals and were vehemently opposed to Jewish immigration. It absolutely made sense to restrict others from outside NW Europe too. Like I said that was a mistake and helped to corrode the American identity.

@Mcn_xd Yeah a massive mistake btw, just shoving Europe’s unwanted into the country and hoping for the best didn’t work and it was never wanted by the majority either, why do you think the Klan was so popular in the 20’s? ‘American’ actually meant something other than having white skin

@Mcn_xd @WotanPrince True, although the term is a rather vague one today, pretty sure it literally includes Middle Easterners in modern America. My original point was what it meant to be an ‘American’ was not synonymous with just ‘European’ until the melting pot idea pushed by Jews became policy.

@SuredeathH55331 @WotanPrince Yeah ‘white’ didn’t mean anyone from Europe, until the early 20th century its racial character was Anglo-Saxon and NW European, it was relatively religiously homogeneous too. It was never meant to be a dumping ground for anyone with somewhat white skin.

@WotanPrince Of course I agree with you, but ‘White’ never referred to all Europeans in this context is what I mean, it was actually much more exclusive than that. What it is today is also something extremely far removed from that unfortunately and has been for a long time.

@PesceAvgvsto I’m not saying it is, but it was essentially that until the late 19th century. Exceptions don’t disprove the rule, it was an Anglo country until somewhat recently.

@PesceAvgvsto To an incredibly minor degree, yes. Not sure why you’re pretending it’s comparable to the influence of those from Britain though.

@PesceAvgvsto Jews weren’t even in America in any reasonable capacity until the 19th century, its heroes and its founders are all British.
