@APPGCW So many more people would love to cycle if local authorities made it safe to do so. Our students and other local contacts tell us this all the time. The single most important reason people don’t cycle more is driver behaviour. Make it safe for all! Not just the fit and fearless.

We often lead bike rides through the City - it’s a great way to introduce beginner riders to the joys of safe infrastructure and show them how they can access important places. Safety means freedom for people concerned about traffic danger, especially parents and disabled people.
Have your say! We are consulting on proposals to transform Leadenhall Street and plans for a new, high-quality east-to-west cycle route. The consultations both run until 9 February 2025 📢

@RuthCadbury @BikeabilityUK There may be a few places where, for short stretches of protected cycle lanes, training for children would keep them safe. Teaching to cycle is good. For safety, driver training and re-training, 20 mph limit and separated cycling infrastructure would be much more effective.
