“I wish I had a chance to help them because I really feel like I could have helped them win if they were patient and let me get healthy.”
- Markelle Fultz on the Sixers

TRADE IDEA:
Jrue Holiday for James Harden
They’re the same age and the salaries match
76ers get NBA Champion PG that plays elite defense & Holiday returns to the franchise that drafted him
Bucks add an offensive superstar they’ve never had to pair with Giannis
Tyrese Maxey is now shooting 42.9% from three in 72 games. He’s fifth in the league in three-point percentage.
He shot 30.1% from three last season. It’s incredibly rare that you see a jump like that at all, let alone in a second year. Incredible stuff from Maxey.
James Harden is on the way to Sixers training camp with intentions of making a scene, per
@wojespn
:
“James Harden wants a trade. He wants to make the 76ers uncomfortable. So uncomfortable, ultimately, they don’t think they’ll get the best out of him and make a trade.”
Bball Paul getting a chance to learn from so many great bigs; Joel Embiid, Dwight Howard, Andre Drummond, and now Paul Millsap. Incredibly valuable experiences for him.
Here’s a wild stat: if Tyrese Maxey scores 23 points tonight, he’ll have reached PJ Tucker’s SEASON TOTAL in points from last year.
The Sixers will play their 10th game tonight.
Tobias Harris has finally entered the 50/40/90 club after last night’s win against Minnesota. His stats on the season through 44 games:
33.5 MPG
20.8 PPG
7.3 RPG
3.6 APG
0.9 SPG
0.8 BPG
+5.6
Shooting splits: 52.4% FG, 40.9% 3PT, 90.2% FT
The presumed Sixers starting five is now Maxey, Oubre, Martin, PG13, and Embiid. And they assembled this without using *any* of their draft ammo.
Not bad at all!
Nikola Jokić doesn’t get the attention of other NBA leading men, but he’s still happy with his status in the league.

went to Denver to chat with the NBA's undercover MVP
BREAKING NEWS: The Sixers won’t be wearing their red jerseys for Game 6. They have yet to win a playoff game this series when wearing them. Instead, they’ll be wearing their blue jerseys.
Tyrese Maxey is averaging…
22.4 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 4.2 APG, and 0.9 SPG in 9 playoff games. He’s shooting 51.4% from the field, 41.5% from three (on 5.9 attempts!), and 92.3% from the free throw line. That’s good for a true shooting percentage of 64.3.
That’s pretty damn good.
True shooting percentage rankings for this season really showcase just how crazily efficient Seth Curry has been.
Every other player in the top 10 are centers.
Yeah, Tyrese Maxey wasn’t doing this last year. Very promising development to see him seeking out his own perimeter shots. He’s already up to 19 points in the half.
There was really 25ish games where you could’ve gotten Paul Reed some real NBA reps and they just didn’t. Asking him to go from the bench to playing heavy playoff minutes is an unreasonable ask. What a botched opportunity.
The
#Sixers
2020 draft class has shined tonight.
Tyrese Maxey - 30/7/6/1/1
11/19 FG, 3/4 3PT, 5/5 FT
Isaiah Joe - 17/3/2/2
4/12 FG, 4/10 3PT, 5/6 FT
Paul Reed - 17/11/3/1/1
7/13 FG, 3/4 FT
The Sixers’ young core has a bright future ahead for seasons to come.
The NBA trade market is really starting to take form. Players like CJ McCollum, Domantas Sabonis, and De’Aaron Fox have a legitimate chance of becoming available ahead of the trade deadline.
Daryl Morey was entirely right to wait on a Ben Simmons deal.
A few months ago: “The upcoming Harden contract might be the worst contract in the league”
*Harden takes a discount*
Now: “The Sixers need to be investigated! Harden can’t take a $15M pay-cut to give them roster flexibility!”
The
#Sixers
don’t win that game without James Harden, by the way. He kept them in it the entire first half. The numbers don’t do justice on how great he was.
Important reminder:
If the
#Sixers
win tonight it means everything and that the team is finals bound.
If the Sixers lose it’s just a meaningless preseason that we should put zero stock into.
I’m convinced these people aren’t watching the actual games. The lead shrank from 20 to 6, and Embiid has been on the bench the entire time.
Get those engagement checks, I guess.
