In my experience, the concepts of consent & mutual pleasure within the BDSM & kink communities are, as a rule, light years ahead of mainstream culture.
I doubt anyone who follows me needs to hear this, but: BDSM is not abuse. Abuse is abuse. Sometimes BDSM is done in an abusive way. Sometimes vanilla sexual activities are done in an abusive way. Abuse is not inherent to BDSM. Informed and ongoing consent is always key.

Ok so I do actually have some knowledge here and this is an slimy misrepresentation of a true concept. Fictional violence does not translate to real violence (far as we can tell). But an influential figure, endorsed by a huge media company, being transphobic is not fiction.
