Big night at the @opry Christmas show last night. @MichaelBuble headlined and we ran into him in the hall outside his dressing room. “I’ve seen you guys a million times” he said, before shaking hands and starting to sing “I’m an Old Cowhand” which of course we joined in on.

A sad day on Harmony Ranch. Our great friend Alan Sachs passed away last night in New York City, listening to his favorite music and surrounded by love and his dear wife Annette and daughter Samantha. married, we played at their wedding. We stayed in touch through the decades.

We surprised Bill Malone on his 90th birthday yesterday in Madison, WI! “The look on Bill’s face when we walked in…worth the price of admission,” said Mr. TSlim. “We set it up through Bill’s wife and co-author Bobbie, and he had no clue we were coming.”

Today we resound a mighty fine and great big western ‘happy birthday’ to our resident theoretical plasma physicist, RV repairman and undisputed “King of the Cowboy Fiddlers,” Woody Paul! Happy birthday, Woody!

Too Slim’s Word from the Back of the Herd: We celebrated 42 years as members of our beloved @opry last night. Last night we played “Back on Those Texas Plains,” “Blue Shadows on the Trail,” our Disney/Pixar medley, and “Happy Trails.” And guess what…a standing O!
