@JonathanTurley I hope Musk has a full protective detail. The Left is almost certain to try to assassinate him.

@BradRTorgersen @JWhitebread1 Over 230 years ago, Adam Smith noted that big business loved big government. Precisely because it could kill small business.

@monsterhunter45 There's got to be an MHI story idea in this. The Forces of Evil have hijacked a company, and Our Heroes have to root out the villainy.

@johnkonrad The CEO/Commanding Officer must see…and be seen to see. Patton made a point of driving to the front, flying back from it.

@Rothmus I think it has to do with wanting to stay employed. That, and job prospects if you are over 50 are very poor.

@elonmusk It was about 1 hour/month. The frustrating part was that the meat could be done in 15-20 minutes. And it was always the same inane coursework…whether or not it was applicable to your job.

@bscholl @POTUS Yup. The Really Big Money isn't in the supersonic transatlantic routes, it's in the domestic transcontinental routing. Coast-to-coast in 3 hours. And you can climb/descend overwater to minimize the shock wave impact.

@JoshuaSteinman Honestly? Profits. Privateering relied on capturing enemy ships and selling them (and the cargo) for a profit. I'm not sure there's a profit to be made.

Back in the days when G. Gordon Liddy had a radio program, he would refer to a billion dollars as "a thousand million", a trillion as "a million million". This isn't a bad idea - it drives home how vast the numbers are...and the folly of focusing on mere thousands of dollars.

@elonmusk Not weird. They are enriching themselves and their families. Do you think the average Federal Civil Servant is embezzling that money? I assure you, they aren’t.
