Here is what happened a week prior& during the genocide:
- Ezidis were promised by the Kurd absolute protection.
- Ezidis were turned down when asked for weapons to fight ISIS alongside Peshmerga
- Èzidis were disarmed by the Kurd
- Roads to safety were all blocked by kurd.

Historically speaking, Dasni was the ethnicity of the Ezidi people, and this is reported in Islamic, European expeditions, and Assyrian sources. Today we consider ourselves as a ethnic religious group.

I don’t understand why people don’t include Ezidis, don’t they know Ezidis around Lalish were also massacred between year 15 to 23. In fact, this particular genocide is considered as the harshest one by most of the Ezidis.

I never said why Shingal fell. I said why the genocide occurred!!!, it could’ve been easily avoided. Why would they block the roads that lead Ezidis to safety. Why disarming Ezidis?, why fleeing with no warnings? Why promises? why no 40 min of fight till Shingal was evacuated?

You have no idea what you talking about. We were there and saw peshmerga and their weapons. With weapons they had back then they could fight at least two weeks. We asked them to give us the weapons and they may go to their families but refused bc they were planning something.

The girl was caught having sex with a man, so she was killed by her father immediately bc this brings shame to the family. She would’ve been killed regardless of the religion of the man and she wasn’t trying to convert to Islam as you claimed, nor she was stoned.

From 2003 to 2014 it was ruled by the Kurd and no projects were done in it whatsoever. Comparing to Zakho and Duhok, Shingal looked terrible. So don’t say it’s like that because Kurd aren’t there.

We need a Yazidi nationalist political party that can try to compete with non Yazidi political parties, and aims to take over our geographical areas. What we already have are not political parties, just a bunch of people with different opinions.
