I have a lot of thoughts about these moves but this one is the most pressing. The message this sends to Ohtani and Trout is a horrible one that could screw your future with both of them. All to save Arte Moreno a couple of bucks. Just sell the team, please.

Based on the FG Steamer Projections, no trio of players has a higher projected WAR than Shohei Ohtani (6.6), Mike Trout (6.1), & Anthony Rendon (4.3). Next closest is the NYY trio of Cole/Judge/Torres (14.7).
Here’s hoping to a productive & healthy ‘22 from Ohtani/Trout/Rendon.

Not a single soul is defending ownership. Most of the fan base wants Moreno gone and has for years. Neto started 1-for-16. He has a 112 WRC+ since with an unbelievable glove. We want the team to make moves. Acquiring a player at a position they're set at doesn't do anything.
