In cell stage, start as an herbivore. Theres so much food lying around for you and you can load up on the spikes you love so much for protection.
Halfway through the stage, switch your mouth to carnivorous.

You need to attack other cell species to aquire their skills/attributes (jets, poison, electricity, etc)
Dont waste your DNA currency, you don't need to double up on one kind of speedy part. Jets and the one that helps you turn are OP enough as a pair

If you find yourself starving while exploring the world, you can just grab some fruit. It's everywhere. If you lose hella health during battle, snacking on a nearby corpse is faster than running to a fruit tree. Omnivores are superior.

Having half of cell stage in carnivore and half in herbivore will benefit you in the next stage. (Creature stage)
You will be born an omnivore. The nests of species surrounding you won't be automatically aggressive as often as they will if you're constantly a carnivore.

When making allies, click the green button rather than the red and select a target. Your potential ally will either sing, charm, dance, or pose. You must click on the sing, charm, dance, or pose button (below the green one you already picked) to mimic them exactly OR YOU FAIL

This game is old, glitchy, and also extremely frustrating if you lose hours of progress. You found that out the hard way.
I mean it, save every 5-10 minutes. Repeating things you completed is fucking miserable.

When attacking a species, don't just double click. There's no "oh my mouth can't reach it" you just didn't press the bite, strike, charge or spit button. These options are red and parallel to the friendly options. Charge and spit are more long range. Strike and bite are up close.

If you see bones on the ground you need to grab them if you aren't in immediate danger. They'll help you be all beefy and strong, providing more skills and attributes for your next mating session.
Bigger piles of bones have spicier rewards.

Bigger piles of bones are typically placed in dangerous areas. (Around a nest full of OP mean creatures, next to an EPIC. EPIC's are giant creatures, bigger than trees and mountains. Super strong and super dangerous. Don't fuck with epics unless you have 3/3 rogues in your pack.

Rogues are beefed up creatures with 250 health points. You need strong social skills to befriend them, & its very worth it. They kick everybody's ass. Balance your social & attack skills. Stay in between peaceful & aggressive. This benefits u in the next stage, tribal stage.

When evolving your creature, look at the benefits of each body part you add. Certain mouths have stronger bite or stronger singing ability. Some parts are just for looks. Pointless and wasteful. Omnivore body parts are supreme, they'll be in the middle section.

Don't put multiple attack skill parts of the same skill in hopes that they'll stack & make you stronger. Same w social skills. Having 2 parts that add lvl 5 strike is just a waste. Having a part with level 2 sing and one with level 3 sing is a waste. It just picks the highest lvl

After you beat creature stage, you're given opportunities to design your creature to look cool with less regard to social skills. You can sell everything and focus on strength and looks bc the next stage has instruments instead of charm, pose, etc. Still need fight skills though.
