@mikemearls Come on, this is a very lackluster take. If the reviewer has received financial compensation to include information on where to buy the game, then yes, it’s a commercial. If not, it’s simply being helpful to those watching or reading the review.

I absolutely love that my son is creating his own language, both spoken and written, for his Barbarian in his friends D&D game. He says it’s inspired by Tolkien elvish but he’s trying to make it distinct. 🤘🏻😊

I have visited Morro Bay, CA many times over my life. We have camped there, swam the inlets, walked along the bay, dined on seafood, and enjoyed art. Hard to believe choomba, that in another world, Night City is built upon the ruins of all this.

LSD. Would you give a bonus or penalty die against Mythos SAN rolls if your character is under the influence in Call of Cthulhu? Would you handle it a different way? Your answer may or may not indicate prior use. 😅

@memeslich There is far too much emphasis on motivations when it comes to RPGs. First and foremost you are there to play a game, not auditioning for a role in a movie. Roll with the hook and get to the game. It’s why you all are gathering together at the table.

“Fear and danger are what move Delta Green off the shelves, not success. Player characters must die to allow others to seem to succeed.” I agree with Dennis on this, if not you’re not playing Delta Green.

So after all the fantastic insight from everyone I have narrowed down the choices between 1-6. 😅 I have given them a pretty good breakdown of each edition and will let you know what one they have decided to try first. 🤘🏻

These kids (now seniors in high school) have been taking crunching games for a spin for the past four years. Whatever edition is chosen they will have read it well before I do. As a GM it’s great because it’s like having a table of living searchable PDFs to lean upon when running a game.

So they’ve played Cyberpunk 2020, Cyberpunk Red, and CyBorg. They also have had their share of moderate crunch with 3.5 and Rogue Trader. They are all very well rounded for teenagers and are simply looking to experience other games and I like to support that no matter the game to let them decide for themselves if it’s for them or not.
