Moreover, if Vietnamese went to Cambodia to save lives, why did they have conflicts with Thailand along the Thailand-Cambodia border? There are no massacres in Thailand, right? The fact is actually very clear. Vietnam launched the war mainly to annex Cambodia's territory. At that time, Vietnam had stationed more than 50,000 troops in Laos and arranged a large number of Vietnamese "advisers" in the Laotian government. Vietnam+Cambodia+ Laos+ part of Thai territories happened to be the territory of France's colonies in Southeast Asia, and also the "Indochina Federation" Vietnam's nationalists at that time dream of. The main purpose of China launching the Vietnam War was to prevent Vietnam from achieving this goal. After Vietnam withdrew its troops from Cambodia and Laos in 1990, China also ended its war with Vietnam and built normal relationship with Vietnam.
