First afternoon in Granada. Getting to know a bit more about the greatest queen of Spain: Elisabeth 1st (Isabel I). Precursor of the Declaration of human rights thanks to her testament, inspiring the Laws of Burgos in 1512, the first set of international laws. Qué nteresante!
Day 3, Granada. Amazing views from the Albaizin borrough, the old moorish boreough of the city. We have done soo many km walking, but so worthy. Gracias chicos!
Only 1 week until our Spanish trip to Granada! The most beautiful city in the world! Are you excited? Are you ready? I am! Let's go! Vamoooos!!!
@highgatewood
It has been a very long day in Granada! There have been markets. The visit to Alhambra. A picture treasure hunt. Flamenco lessons. And so many kilometres walking. Qué cansado!
Day 3. Visit to the Catedral de Granada. Dedicated to the devotion of the Virgin Mary. The biggest in Spain and between the biggest in Europe. So much art, spirituality and history.
Une petite virée au bowling de saint - Lo because we felt it would be great fun to add to that awesome day . We all opted for French names in our games. The owner offered us a free sirop a l’eau and a free game! Imagine that in FP. Vive la 🇫🇷 je dis!
@highgatewood
Tapas! Granada is famous for the Alhambra, the Cathedral and the city history between muslims and christians. But is even more famous for the tapas. Qué rico! 😋
On a fait plein de trucs aujourd’hui. Et oui! Pourquoi pas? On a adoré Bayeux! On adore pratiquer notre français but we did so much more

We are nearly there! We will be changing drivers at Thurrock services. We will text you from there. And then it is one hour to HWS.
A big thank you for the A team please. Those memories can not happen without teachers.

The MFL department is wishing Good Luck, Bonne Chance and Buena Suerte to our students in Y11 and Y13 who will be doing their final speaking exams over the next three days. You’ve got this, everyone!

Flashbacks from Arromanches (made famous by the Normandy landings)- Quote from Lexia on that day “"I'm currently on the best trip in the history of Highgate Wood". We are coming back, do not worry. À regret
@highgatewood
Some highlights from the trip, it's such a shame that it has to come to an end. We hope everyone has had a lovely time and that those at home are green with envy
@highgatewood
While leading an international school trip with so many girls on our journey, we could only celebrate la journée internationale de la femme. Happy International Women's Day

A little Snapshot of notre petit moment in Pegasus bridge yesterday. Did you know that the bridge was sold to the museum for 1 franc but cost millions to repair? Et ben voilà pour l‘anecdote
@highgatewood
Hello!!! We had a little contretemps (setback) but we are on the ferry eating and on our way back soonish. See you around 10pm. To make up the loss time, we have lots of apple juice coming your way it looks like.

15 minutes before closure time. Episode’s name: l’hypermarché à nous tout seul- 39 teens + 4 adults racing like if they were in the apprentice! So much fun
@highgatewood
€24 pour 1 kilo de coquilles Saint- Jacques!!!! That’s about 38 fresh scallops in the box!!! How many do you get for £20 in Crouch end please? That was in the market of Bayeux pour un petit tour- Vous avez un petit creux ? ( good idiom for your French essay)
@highgatewood
45km an hour is no small feat - the main 2 questions were “ can I have another go miss please?” And “ did you break?” Vous êtes prêts pour un tour de luge aussi?
#luge

We are on our way back! One more stop in the Manoir d’Apreval et c’est fini. Time to reflect and have wee flashbacks of our time together in la Normandie
@highgatewood
Après une super bonne visite au Manoir d'Apreval, on a goûté au délicieux jus de pomme du terroir et finalement Avery et Olly nous ont offert un concert de piano gratuit!
