HSI & @SATXpolice have arrested Luis MANZANO-Guardado for possessing 6 fraudulent permanent resident & social security cards “for friends residing illegally in Houston.” These cards are Federally prescribed; it is in violation of U.S. law to possess fraudulent govt docs.

This past week, HSI and ERO arrested Jose GARCIA-Cantu in McAllen, TX , for illegally re-entering the U.S. after being deported in 2015. With a criminal history including a 2012 drug trafficking conviction, his arrest highlights the ongoing effort to protect public safety.

Nestor Jose MENDOZA-Garcia (a Venezuelan national) has been federally indicted after HSI, @EROsanantonio & @SATXpolice encountered MENDOZA, an illegal alien, in possession of a firearm. MENDOZA was previously being held on state charges.

Yesterday evening, HSI, @txDPS, @USBPchieflrt and Bexar Co. Sheriff’s Office arrested Abelardo Herrera for his role in a human smuggling cell that stretched from Laredo to Bexar County. During the arrest, 16 illegal aliens were also encountered. The joint investigation continues.

A 3rd person has now been federally charged with benefiting from forced labor. Ronayde Salazar-Garcia, a Venezuelan national, is now in federal custody following a joint investigation by HSI and @SATXPolice.
