Republican congressional leadership did the right thing and told Nixon he needed to resign. Country before party. There were honorable Republicans in the past. No more.

Correction: the "hearing" will actually be held at the Wyndham Solid Waste Processing Facility, next to the Gettysburg livestock artificial insemination plant, conveniently located just off exit 14.

Pre-Trump, Americans tended to unite against evil, regardless of party affiliation. Criticism of our president ended at water's edge. We rallied and stuck together when necessary, as Americans. That all changed with Trump.
Trump knew the danger of the virus in early Feb, Dan Coats suspects Putin has something on Trump, Mattis said they may have to take collective action to remove Trump, and a whistleblower says Trump's stooges tried to alter intel reports to fit Trump's view. And it's only 3pm.
Barr is angling for the top job with Wagner Group once the Trump Show is over: Federal law enforcement officers are operating on American streets without identification, which experts say breeds a culture of impunity. via

Germany intercepts Russian talk of indiscriminate killings in Ukraine

honors Harriet Tubman, storied Underground Railroad conductor, but also an intelligence officer for the Union during the Civil War, with a statue unveiled recently near its HQ entrance in Langley, VA.
Ukrainian woman confronts Russian soldiers in Henychesk, Kherson region. Asks them why they came to our land and urges to put sunflower seeds in their pockets [so that flowers would grow when they die on the Ukrainian land]

Deutsche Bank was also of course the link between the Russian mob and the Trump money laundering machine (Trump casinos and real estate).
@RonFilipkowski
Trump's not defensive at all about the fact that he cheats at golf. He'd have us believe the Secret Service is there to ensure he doesn't engage in any "hanky-lanky" on the golf course. Now if they could just proofread his tweets.

Let's hope that once Trump is removed from power, we'll establish a tribunal to investigate and prosecute anyone and everyone who committed a crime (including treason) in furtherance of Trump's illegitimate regime. I would volunteer my services.

But Trump is the first American president who admitted to an Indian prime minister that he did not know that India and China share a border.
To their detriment, Russians assume that we are like they are. They assume that our warning was some sort of deception. A lie, meant to undermine them. Because that is what they would have done. They are incapable of grasping decency and a moral compass.
Evil never rests. Putin has time to spread covid-19 lies across the US, while his own people continue to suffer because of him. Meanwhile, 100,000 Americans have died under Trump's "leadership," so he spends Memorial Day golfing on our dime.
Putin's regime is responsible for these atrocities and the lack of preparedness due to his initial steps to cover-up this pandemic while defunding hospitals for decades while him and his cronies rob the country blind
@AlexandraChalup
The Russian intelligence services will use the Giuliani "case study" to teach new recruits how its done for decades to come. (Meanwhile, the Russians' "Agent Orange" (Trump) case study will go down as the greatest intelligence operation in history.)

After the war in Croatia began, the USG established a Refugee Debriefing Center to document war crimes. Evidence was submitted to the ICC and was used to prosecute Serb war criminals. I trust the USG is doing the same thing now in Ukraine?

Trump is the worst possible "leader" we could have at the worst possible moment in time. Rick Wilson's book got it right: Everything Trump touches dies.
@mikercarpenter
The irony is that many countries that successfully controlled Covid were following the advice and recommendations of American health and science experts. The same experts Trump has sidelined.

You neglected to mention that Russia has also provided Ukraine with an unlimited supply of light and heavy weapons, scrap metal, and sunflower fertilizer. Спасибо!
