People tend to get really upset when facing the reality that you can only be “taught” this up to a certain point. Online modules and lectures aren’t going to teach you how to connect and communicate with other people from a genuinely meaningful place.
Crazy how med school has you memorize Krebs cycle enzymes, lysosomal genetics, every nerve in the body, all except teach you the art of
talking to people, bedside manner, collegiality. Communication is integral to medicine, yet never a focus of training and I find that horrific.
