What happens when you’re trusted to shape young men’s lives? That question guided me as I coached these remarkable athletes. I’ve made mistakes, learned, and grown—because when given the chance to impact lives, you embrace it fully. Each of you is special, united by your love for
The greatest honor that any individual can receive is when parents trust you with their kids, before, I was immature to realize this, but now that I have two amazing boys, I see it now. Still more to learn. God uses anything to teach you about life.
I moved to KC in 2006, the talent of players in this metro area gets better and better each year. Credit to them for putting in the work; and their coaches, trainers, and anyone else that has taken the part of their development. It takes a village.
The Kansas City Royals highlight of the day is Yordano Ventura dominating game 6 of the 2014 World Series to force a game 7.
One of the greatest performances by Yordano. I’ll never forget this one. RIP Ace!
Hitting is more challenging than pitching. And pitching requires a lot of work to play at a high level. Everything about baseball is hard, but many folks still enjoy this game. Why? Because it is by far the greatest game on earth.
The best part of the weekend was this… Nothing else will replace it. Nothing. Thank you
@RoyalsScoutTeam
for allowing me to have my son with me, and for the parents for being kind to my family.
Thank you to the KC Elite Organization. (Those young man were respectful)
My opinion only, is that the amount of talent that the MO/KS metro area has has been increasing each year. Credit to them for their relentless pursuit of excellence, to their family for their commitment and support, and for ALL their support system for pushing them to be better.
He didn’t have to do that, but he did. What do you think not only as a coach/scout but as a human being will say when you see a young man like that interacting with a little one? Yes there is always hope in the midst of struggle, and the new generation of men or women will thrive
It always hurts to lose a member of the family and LNHS lost a great one with the passing of Rob James. Simply put, there's no better human being than Coach James. He will not only be missed by the Basketball & Baseball programs but will be missed by the entire Eagle family.
A lot of athletes wants to be part of a winning culture, but not many do what it takes to be a winner. It’s a different realm and the expectation is to high. Are you willing to do what it takes? if not, the next person will.
If you pray that God opens doors, don’t close them for those who come right behind you. Always remember, building relationships, will always be better than building success.
What I like about playoff season? No more ranking, and they are always someone who will surprise the coach by his or her performance. Competition takes over. Everybody is 0-0. Time to compete fellas.
The greatest thing about baseball is that regardless of how good you think you are, someone out there can outwork you. Talent can only take you that far. When it is set and done, when you respect the game and play with heart, your teammates will feed off that.
23 years old facing a win or go home situation in the World Series and he went 7 innings scoreless. Will never forget he dedicated his performance to one of his best friends who had died two days previously in Oscar Taveras…just amazing
Take pride in everything you do, not only in the field, but in everything you do in your life. The way you carry yourself off the field, will dictate the way you carry yourself on the field.
love for the game. Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey; you’ve made me incredibly proud.
Advice for the road ahead: Hold your loved ones close; they’re the ones who truly refine your character.

This is the greatest country on earth; the USA, the land of the free. I thank God for our soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifices so we could live free. 🇺🇸
By the time you get to pivot age in baseball, they (Scouts) know how you play. They just don't know how hard you can work, and what you're willing to sacrifice for success. That's the difference between the silver lining and the diamond ring. Scouts always searching.
The world's most remote country, Bhutan, is experiencing a baseball boom
What started as a handful of kids playing on a concrete slab has grown to more than 6,000 children who are becoming dedicated baseball fans
"It's the fastest-growing sport in the country right now," says
There is nothing better to see a great player being a great teammate. Own your failure, but also cherish your accomplishments, finding someone who has your best interests at heart and with whom you can share your goals is essential. Together is better than one.
When the desire of your heart, align with your dedication and your work ethic, anything can happen. All you need to do is continue to put the work. The rest is in HIS plan.
Fathers, in a few hours, your family is going to celebrate you. Embrace it and cherish those moments. Thank you for everything you have done for your kids, whether you are the natural father, or not, your love for your kids has been great for all of them. Happy Father’s Day.
2024 Nick Gibler was 84-86 with a heavy 2 seam and mixed an advanced SL and CH as well for Blue Springs. Quick armed athlete who competes on the mound.

To ALL college athletes out there;don’t make the mistake of trying to be “eligible” just so you could play your sport.Get an education that could be essential after your sports career is over. Because it will be over eventually. Prepare for life, don’t prepare just for the sport.
When you built a good functional/foundational strength, and combine that with your skills and movement flow, you’ll be far ahead than your peers. Don’t forget your mental health*
RHP Nick Gibler (Blue Springs, 2024) threw well in a short-game win for

In the world of sports, 'scouting' is the art of looking beyond the stats.
It means recognizing potential, understanding motivations, anticipating growth, and building relationships.
It's not just about what you can see, but about what you can't see.
On a serious note, WE are all want what is best for our children. To us, they are not student athletes, they are our gift from God, our biggest blessing. So as they navigate through this process of finding what is best for them, continue to guide them and show them the way.
As high school baseball season approach: athletes should consider this:
1) Energy drinks are NOT the same as sport drinks. 2) stay hydrated before, during, and after your training. 3) You are not invisible, if you experience pain. 🛑
Coaching Tips:
As I reflect on my coaching journey, here are some things I wish I had known when I first started coaching, 15 years ago and counting:
•Parents will always support you if your heart is truly for their kids, not for your own gain.
Mental strength training should become a priority for college athletes. They need to learn how to develop a mental edge, learn discipline for hard work, over come doubts and challenge the status quo. These skills will help them develop their physical skill set and stay motivated.
