Great job D2 Patrol! Not every scene is a SWAT scene. This citizen was in crisis and threatened to kill himself by holding a knife to his neck. The business was evacuated and patrol was able to detain him with less lethal means. He will now be able to get the help he needs. 👍🏼
The Bomb Unit investigated a suspicious item near the 1900 block of Aldine Bender in Harris County. The item was inspected and has been rendered safe. Everything is back to normal.
A big shout out to our Bomb Technicians for keeping our neighborhoods safe! 👍🏼

Law enforcement has to constantly keep up with technology and a growing threat.
Tools such as this are not used in the apprehension of law abiding citizens. On numerous occasions, SWAT has opted to “surround and callout” violent criminals instead of forcing entry into the...
Deputy Villanueva was out meeting kids in the Westador neighborhood in North Harris County. It’s always great to get out and speak to kids about what SWAT actually does. One positive interaction may change the path of life for a young child. 🇺🇸
Another fine job by our SWAT, Bomb and HNT units! These guys train very hard to handle the most difficult situations but strive for a peaceful resolution every time!

...residence and forcing a confrontation only to be met with gunfire. Are we suppose to walk away? A tool such as this allows police to deploy chemical agents safely in an effort to force the suspect to exit the residence peacefully. If not, this tool allows us to breach doors.

No problem. We are very grateful for your concern and support.
The sad reality is we have some very bad people who have to be taken to jail. Some of these guys do not want to go peacefully. Most of them are violent criminals and are at risk to continue to endanger the public.

It is unfortunate our innocent citizens and children have to see LE in a negative light when a loved one is arrested. We spend countless hours doing community engagement at church, schools, and special events to keep the best relationship we can.
